Our Story
About Us – Morgan’s Playhouse Childcare Services
Morgan’s Playhouse was founded from a lifelong dream shared by two best friends, Monique Morgan and Nicole Blair-Mitchell, whose passion for children and families began at a very young age.
Before their late twenties, Monique and Nicole made a joint decision that one day they would open their own childcare setting — a place where children would feel safe, nurtured, and supported to thrive. With this shared vision in mind, they each pursued studies and career paths that would enable this dream to become a reality.
Our Journey
Monique followed her passion for working directly with children by becoming a qualified Early Years Practitioner. She gained many years of hands-on experience working within the childcare sector, developing a strong understanding of child development, emotional wellbeing, and the importance of secure attachments in the early years.
Nicole pursued a Business Diploma, building the skills and knowledge needed to create and manage a high-quality, sustainable childcare provision. Her expertise supports the strong leadership, organisation, and professionalism behind Morgan’s Playhouse.
From Childminders to Childcare Setting
Today, both Monique and Nicole are registered childminders, working closely with families and supporting children through their early years. Working with new families strengthened their shared passion and provided the drive to finally pursue their long-held dream of opening their very first childcare setting.
Morgan’s Playhouse represents the coming together of friendship, experience, and a shared commitment to delivering high-quality early years care.
